This is a highly anticipated event designed to excite and celebrate the harder styles of dance music and will be a truly unique experience. An international debut event not to be missed!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW...
Festival tickets are almost sold out: If you plan on buying a ticket, we recommend you do so as soon as possible.
Tickets sales from the event on Saturday: Limited tickets may be available for sale at the festival Box office on Saturday, only if tickets do not sell out beforehand. Tickets sold at the festival Box Office on Saturday morning will be at a higher price than tickets pre-purchased online.
Weather: We try to ensure to the best of our ability, for you and your friends to have an unforgettable time at Defqon.1. Unfortunately though, we cannot control the weather. Before coming to Defqon.1, please check the various weather sites on the Internet to see what the predictions are and bring some warm clothing. The island can get quite cold, especially during the evening.

VIP Tickets include access to the Defqon.1 viewing deck. The viewing deck provides you with a special view over the Defqon.1 site and the chance to hang out with the DJs and artists.
Payment - Only Visa & MasterCard can be used to purchase tickets. Amex and Diners are NOT accepted. There is a strict limit of 5 tickets per customer.
ENTRY INFORMATION
Age Restrictions: This event is strictly Over 18s ONLY - Valid RTA photo ID or passport required for entry.
No-Lad policy: Lads and Lad clothing will not be allowed into the event.
What to bring: A positive outlook and a love for the harder styles in dance music!
What NOT to bring: This festival is produced to give everyone a positive and safe experience, so there will be a strong police presence at the event. Drugs and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated at Defqon.1 Festival. There will be a strong police presence, and zero tolerance drug policy.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
Public Transport: Ticket cost includes festival admission and all CityRail services* (inclusive of all stations from Wollongong, Lithgow and Newcastle) on the day of the event (valid til 2am 20th Sept 2009). There will be free return event shuttle buses from Penrith Station to the Regatta Centre. Extra trains will be scheduled throughout the day and after the festival to ensure your safe passage home. *Does not include CityRail airport link. Q-dance recognises that a safe journey to and from the event is part of the positive festival experience. We encourage everyone to travel by public transport to and from the Defqon.1 Festival. Kiss & Ride Drop-off/Pickup Points: There will be NO drop-off and pickup points at the Festival site. Taxis and drop-offs will need to head to Penrith Rail Station at the Kiss & Ride Point. Please use the free bus shuttle services to then get to the festival. If getting picked up or catching a taxi home, please catch the shuttles back to Penrith Station and be collected from the Kiss & Ride Pickup Point. Taxis will only be available from Penrith Station to ease congestion.
*Note: All taxis called to the event site, will be turned away and asked to collect passengers from Penrith Station.
Shuttle Bus Service: There will be a free shuttle bus service throughout the entire day of the event (19th Sept) where collection will be from the shuttle stop at Penrith Rail Station. (Please see map) There will be extra services at the beginning and end of the day to ensure congestion is eased. This is the only way to get to the festival from Penrith Rail Station.
Travel by Car: Wherever possible, travel with 4 people or more per car (vehicle permitting) if you come with a group. Fewer cars on the road mean smoother access to and from the festival. Please do not drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You can always leave your car at the venue and catch free public transport home. Police may do random RBT checks on all vehicles leaving the area.
Parking: Prepaid parking is only $20 + booking and delivery fees - BUY NOW HERE!
Pay on the Day parking will be charged at $40 and can only be paid with correct CASH. Warning: Parking outside the designated event parking areas and council designated areas is strictly forbidden. Please check all street parking signs. Some special event clearways may be enforced. Any illegally parked vehicles will be towed away immediately if you fail to observe these rules!
Interstate and International travel: New to Sydney, Australia? Your Defqon.1 admission ticket is all you need to get around town with, on the CityRail train and bus services on the day of the event. From north, south, east, west � catch a complimentary train direct to Penrith Rail Station where you will be collected by our free shuttle services to the event site. Please see

ON SITE INFORMATION
Cloakroom: There will be cloakroom facilities at the Defqon.1 Festival.
Tokens: You will need tokens to buy your drinks and food at Defqon.1.
Tokens are available at the token booths on site. Tokens cannot be used for purchasing merchandise, a Helicopter flight, or cloakroom access.
ATM / Cash Points: Cash-out facilities will be available through EFTPOS at all token booths. Please check the Defqon.1 map for more info about the exact locations of the token booths. Maps of the site will be available at the entrance.
Merchandise: Defqon.1 merchandise will be available at the event only.
